Kitchen Table Art was started quite by mistake. A therapist by trade, my head was filled with many sad and beautiful stories. Always a collector, junker and dumpster-diver, my home was filled with a variety of eccentric things. I found stamping stories and getting my crazy thoughts out helped me to feel better. It also appealed to me artistically and I was able to make use of my recycled and repurposed treasures I found along the way.
Brian Andreas, an extraodinary artist, has been a huge inspiration for me. My husband, a gifted cabinet-maker and artist, both encouraged and inspired me. For years I simply gave my art away to friends (and will continue to do so), but I am also currently selling items at art shows and out of my home (see Contact page). I no longer use the kitchen table and have moved to the basement where I have a studio, but I still do most of my thinking for ideas and projects at that same wonderful kitchen table. |
